Anne Houdy est née à Tours dans une famille de musiciens.
Elle commence par la musique, mais préfère le théâtre.
En 1971 la famille émigre au Canada.
Après des études musicales, elle termine en 1980 sa formation au Conservatoire d’Art Dramatique de Québec, travaille au Trident, Grand Théâtre de Québec avec entre autres Olivier Reichenbach et Robert Lepage.
Boursière, elle rentre en France, est admise comme élève étrangère au C.N.S.A.D.
Le théâtre la mène peu a peu vers l’écriture de textes pour la scène avant de choisir la poésie.
En 2020, elle publie mes jacques aux éditions Harpo & et obtient en 2021 une bourse de création du Centre National du Livre pour écrire le livre des jacques. Éditions Jacques Brémond.
